    Apple's Clean Energy Program

    Sunway Communication is proud to participate in Apple's Clean Energy Program. We support the activities to develop a more sustainable production in the electronics supply chain.     Mineral Policy

    Sunway Communication is committed to following OECD's Due Diligence Guidelines for Responsible Mineral Supply Chains from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, whereby our sourcing particularly investigates the following metals in the supply chain: tin (Sn), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), gold (Au) and cobalt (Co). We commit to purchase only from smelters/refiners that have been verified by independent third parties. We expressly require that the minerals provided by suppliers do not directly or indirectly benefit armed groups that seriously violate human rights. We further ensure that non-conflict minerals from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and its neighbours (the Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Tanzania, South Sudan, Burundi, Zambia, Rwanda, Angola, and Uganda) are not prohibited. This statement and policy are conveyed to suppliers and subcontractors.

    Sunway Charity Foundation

    Sunway Charity Foundation was established as part of our desire to give back to society as part of gratification for the enabled development of Sunway since its foundation. This foundation deals with such activities in a co-ordinated way. It is committed to help people who live under difficult circumstances and still persist in doing good for others. Our foundation intends to serve as a bridge to help this group, to play an influential role in promoting their benevolent actions, and to attract and encourage others to support them as well.

    Green Electricity

    Sunway recognizes the need not only to be energy efficient and minimize waste, but also to use environmentally friendly alternatives when available. As part of these ambitions, Sunway has opted to only buy electric energy which has been produced by processes that significantly reduce or eliminate emissions for its facility footprint in Guangdong, where it has signed an agreement with Guangdong Yuedian Group for this purpose. Through this, we want to take an active role in driving energy production towards using greener practices.

    Code of Conduct

    Originating from Sunway’s core values at the time of its foundation to being a successful and integral part of the international business community, Sunway believes firmly in ethical business relationships and is committed to ensure compliance throughout its supply chain.

    We believe this is the way to ensure long term sustainable growth as part of the global supply chain community.

    As such, we expect all employees of Sunway Communication to comply with all national and local laws, ordnances, and regulations and, additionally, with all company policies and guidelines. Some elements of the integrity policies are listed below. Please ask your local Sunway representative if you have further questions about this or other policies.

    In connection with business activities, employees shall not accept any cash, gifts, securities, stock equities, invitations for events or entertainment, offered by suppliers. Neither shall employees borrow money from suppliers nor ask suppliers to purchase personal effects for any reason.

    Employees shall receive anti-corruption education regularly in order to understand the damages and harmful influences brought to companies and the society caused by kick-backs, encroachment of duties and bribery. Employees shall accept the company to review and evaluate this at any time. Employees shall not abuse given authorities to take illegal possession of company property, and shall not harbor subordinates who damage the company’s interest.

    Employees shall not ask or demand any kick-backs, commissions, gifts, securities, valuable items, pay-offs or any disguised material and spiritual interests from any business partner representative.

    The company interests are fundamental. Hence, employees must not take advantage of company business secrets for personal gain. Similarly, business confidential information is a company asset and must be maintained in strict confidence.
